***LOVE POEMS ***

THE WOMAN WHO LOVED MEN

What hope is there for her great beauty?
Magnet to a thousand men
A millionaire or two as booty
There goes her mobile phone again
And when she's had a bit to drink
They think that they're in heaven
Yet heaven's not where she can be
Though she has known love's ecstasy
She has compassion and is free
But cannot find the harmony
So by the men she is attracted
But by her destiny distracted
To love and be loved
Yet not to be in love
To shove and to be shoved
Yet never to be cozened
And though she reaches to the dark beyond
She cannot hold the whirling fragments of the stars
